Kia ora, we're live
The waitlist is officially open. Here's what KeaBudget is, why I'm building it, and how I'll be rolling it out over the next eight phases.
Kia ora, I'm Muhammad — and this is day zero.
After months of thinking about it, I've finally put the KeaBudget waitlist online. The plan: build a free, genuinely good budget tracker made for Kiwis, one phase at a time, in the open.
Why now
I've spent years building enterprise software and I kept wondering why personal finance apps in Aotearoa are either clunky, American-flavoured, or locked behind $15-a-month paywalls. So I'm building the one I actually want to use. Free at the core, forever.
What Phase 0 is
Just the waitlist page you're looking at. No product yet — that starts in Phase 1. But getting a few hundred early Kiwis on board before I write the first line of app code means I'll build the right thing, not just a thing.
If you've signed up: ngā mihi. You'll be the first to know when each phase drops.
What comes next
Weekly updates, right here on /updates. You can subscribe via RSS if that's your thing, or just check back.
Next post drops in a few days — about what I'm shipping into the landing page itself before I start Phase 1 proper.
Ngā mihi, Muhammad
