Are you getting the full KiwiSaver government contribution?
Tell KeaBudget your salary and contribution rate once, and it shows whether you're on track for the full $260.72 from the government by 30 June, or how much more to put in.
The government adds 25 cents for every dollar you put into KiwiSaver, up to $260.72 a year. The KiwiSaver year runs from 1 July to 30 June, and anything you don't claim by then is gone.
KiwiSaver taken from your pay never shows in your bank account, so on your Goals page the KiwiSaver card asks once: your salary before tax and your contribution rate (3%, 3.5%, 4%, 6%, 8% or 10%), or that you only make top-ups yourself. Top-ups count from your KiwiSaver category.
It then shows either that you're on track, or how much more to put in before 30 June. In May and June, anyone short gets a reminder on the dashboard.
It assumes you're paid all year at that rate; a savings suspension or a job change means less. Taxable income over $180,000 gets no government contribution. Check with your provider or IRD for your exact position.
