Afterpay and Zip plans, and the weeks they pile up
Add a pay-later plan once and its payments show in what's coming up, come off safe to spend, and stop after the last one. Weeks where several payments land together are flagged.
Four small payments are easy to say yes to. Three plans at once, all due the same week, is how a pay-later habit bites.
On the Recurring page, under Pay later, add a plan: who it's with, where you bought it, the total, how many payments and when the first one is. From then on:
- Each payment shows in Coming up as "payment 2 of 4".
- Payments before your next payday come off safe to spend.
- The plan stops after its last payment, on its own.
- If two or more payments land in the same week, Busy weeks ahead says so, with the total.
Each plan shows how many payments are done and what's left to pay. The payments are split evenly to the cent, so a plan can be a few cents off your provider's own figures.
