You can now add more than one pay
Two jobs, a side job, or a partner's pay on a different cycle: add every pay in one place, choose the one your budget follows, and get a check-in on every payday.
Lots of Kiwi households don't have one tidy pay. One job pays weekly on Thursdays, another fortnightly on Tuesdays. Or you run the budget for both of you and your partner is paid on a different day. Until now KeaBudget only knew about one payday. That changes today, and it started as an idea on our ideas board.
Your pays, in one place. In Budgets, Your pays lists every pay with its amount, how often it's paid, and the next payday. Tap + Add a pay for each one. Each pay is entered once: it goes in on its own day and counts in safe to spend.
One main pay. Mark the pay your bills mostly follow as your ★ main pay. Your budgets and "safe to spend until payday" run from it, so the number stays steady. The other pays are counted as they land.
Next pays on your dashboard. With more than one pay, the Safe to spend card shows who's paid next, and when. A fortnightly pay that lands three times in a month (it happens twice a year) is marked as the third pay: a good one to put toward a lumpy bill or savings.
A check-in on every payday. The payday check-in now comes on every payday, names the pay that landed, and lists the bills due before the next one, whichever pay that is. Two pays on the same day? One message.
No more counting things twice. If you import from your bank, a pay set up in KeaBudget and the same pay in your import would both count. Each pay and bill now has Add it to my transactions on the day, which starts unticked for people who import, and Recurring points out any older ones with a one-tap fix.
Already have your pay in Recurring bills & income? If no payday is set, the Safe to spend card offers it as your main pay in one tap, so there's nothing to type.
